About Us

Valhalla Fiduciary is an investment management consulting firm, established and founded by Joshua Barlow in July 2018. The core service of the firm is to provide independent non-executive directorships within the asset management industry. In addition Valhalla also provides operational due diligence consulting services for investors and operational consulting directly to asset managers.

Valhalla is headquartered in California and works with asset managers globally focused on California (San Francisco and Los Angeles), Greater New York City, London, and Hong Kong. Joshua has experience working with a number of different investment vehicle jurisdictions and is licensed by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) under the Directors Registration and Licensing Law of 2014.

After over twelve years at PAAMCO where Joshua led Operational Due Diligence and Accounting Joshua recognized the need for fund governance in the asset management industry to continue to improve. Joshua has years of experience as a fund board member and also in managing fund boards. Joshua will be using his operational due diligence experience and expertise as an independent director on fund boards. As a full time professional director Joshua implements a process that limits the number of boards he acts as a director on in order to provide the needed and appropriate level of attention and governance.
